Che cos'è un eBook?
Un eBook è un libro elettronico. Il tradizionale libro di carta è stato analizzato e tradotto in un formato digitale a cui accedere da un dispositivo elettronico (PC, iPhone, Kindle ...). Gli ebook non sono destinati a sostituire i libri cartacei, ma forniscono una lettura alternativa interessante per coloro che amano la tecnologia. Gli eBook forniscono una nuova dimensione alla letteratura consentendo un facile accesso alla cultura scritta. Gli eBook consentono inoltre di:
- fare ricerche di testo all'interno di un libro
- diminuire / aumentare la dimensione del testo da leggere
- aggiungere segnalibri digitali
- fare tante altre cose non consentite sul formato cartaceo.
La maggior parte degli eBook non sono compressi (zippati) e quindi vengono riconosciuti automaticamente dai più comuni programmi di lettura.
I libri digitali possono anche essere ascoltati nella lingua in cui sono scritti con dei lettori digitali di testi. Ex.Google
